San Felice a Cancello is once again gripped by organized crime. The investigating judge of the Court of Naples, Dr. Fabio Provvisier, has signed the release order for Aniello Turnacco, 27, nephew of the feared Massaro clan boss Giovanni Turnacco, alias "A' Manomozza." The man, represented by lawyers Vittorio Fucci and Francesco Liguori, was arrested last year as part of a major sting operation by the District Anti-Mafia Prosecutor's Office.

The investigations by the Naples DDA had painted a disturbing picture. Turnacco and Rino Gagliardi, better known as "O' Pizzaiuol," were allegedly running a criminal organization based in the Caserta municipality. Investigators reconstructed a turnover worth hundreds of thousands of euros, monitoring the group's movements through wiretaps, surveillance, and statements from buyers.

The drug route began in the northern area of Naples, where the syndicate procured large quantities of narcotics. The merchandise was then distributed to the drug dealing hubs of San Felice a Cancello, with a particular focus on the Talanico district. There, the Carabinieri discovered an apartment converted into a narcotics "refinery" and several garages used as storage facilities. The business didn't stop at the provincial borders: cocaine and hashish traveled to Naples, Benevento, and Avellino, with particular emphasis on the Caudina Valley.

Turnacco's release from prison follows just days after another judicial turn of events. The Naples Court of Review, granting the request of lawyers Vittorio Fucci and Orlando Sgambati, returned €60 to his sister Eva Ester Turnacco. The woman, considered the clan's treasurer, had the money seized as part of the same investigation. Now, with the family's head back at liberty and the gang's accounts partially reinstated, San Felice a Cancello is wondering what the future holds.
