The intervention of the Carabinieri Forestry Corps of Ariano Irpino led to the owner of a mechanical workshop in Casalbore, in the province of Avellino, being reported after a series of checks revealed significant irregularities. During the investigation, it was discovered that the man, a local man in his forties, had erected a metal roof of approximately forty square meters without any permit and had permanently anchored it to the ground, effectively constituting illegal construction.

The investigations didn't stop at the unregistered facility. The officers found that the activity was being carried out without the necessary authorization for atmospheric emissions, a key requirement for workshops and mechanical businesses that handle oils, fumes, and materials with potential environmental impacts. The lack of such permits aggravates the situation because it indicates a lack of controls on the workshop's emissions, posing a potential environmental risk.

In light of the findings, the owner has been reported at large to the Avellino Public Prosecutor's Office, which will assess criminal liability related to the illegal construction and unauthorized operation of the business. This case represents a further step in the Carabinieri Forestale's efforts to combat illegal construction and environmental violations in the Irpinia region, where landscape protection and legality continue to be a key focus of enforcement operations.
