Boscoreale – A fully-fledged illegal workshop for dismantling stolen cars was discovered by Carabinieri officers from the Torre Annunziata mobile radio unit in a warehouse on Via Merolla in Boscoreale. The raid led to the arrest of a 27-year-old local man, already known to law enforcement, who was caught dismantling a Volkswagen T-Roc stolen just hours earlier.
The operation took place at dawn, when the police raided the facility and caught the young mechanic in the act. The vehicle was already partially dismantled, and inside the warehouse, evidence of a well-organized illegal operation emerged: numerous car parts, likely from other thefts, and a complete set of equipment for the rapid dismantling of vehicles.
But the surprises didn't end there. During the search, the Carabinieri found two jammers, sophisticated frequency disruptors used to bypass car alarm and satellite anti-theft systems. These devices confirm the professionalism of the criminal operation.
Completing the case was the seizure of several doses of hashish and marijuana, which also led to charges of possession with intent to sell. The 27-year-old is now under arrest on charges of money laundering and possession of narcotics, awaiting trial.
The operation is part of a broader effort by the Carabinieri to intensify controls in the Vesuvian area to combat car theft and related clandestine dismantling operations.

“Dismantle” him now.
I read this article and found it very interesting how the Carabinieri are working to stop crime. Even though car thefts are on the rise, these checks are a good initiative. I hope they continue to do so.
