CELLOLE (Caserta) – A jumbled mass of waste, approximately 450 cubic meters of hazardous and non-hazardous special materials, was discovered by the Carabinieri Forestale of Sessa Aurunca and Marcianise inside the facility of a company that processes non-hazardous special waste. The inspection, conducted as part of a service aimed at preventing environmental crimes, revealed a situation the officers described as "macroscopic": packaging contaminated with hazardous substances, thinners, paints, diesel filters, ferrous scrap, WEEE, and even municipal solid waste, all mixed together in a single chaotic pile.

The indiscriminate presence of toxic materials alongside ordinary waste clearly revealed, according to the military, "the crime of illegal management of hazardous and non-hazardous special waste." The pile, stacked within the company's premises, was immediately seized. The same fate befell the waste found on site, untreated or separated, confirming management outside of all environmental regulations. The company's legal representative has been remanded in custody.
