The weekend just passed was a busy one in Marcianise and the surrounding municipalities, where the Carabinieri deployed a comprehensive extraordinary patrol service. Between Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th, patrols were extensive, especially in the evening and nighttime hours, with the aim of preventing crime, combating widespread lawlessness, and strengthening citizens' sense of security.

The operation involved officers from the Marcianise Company's stations, supported by the Carabinieri of Teverola and Cancello ed Arnone, with the support of the Sarno Dog Unit and the Caserta Labor Inspectorate. This comprehensive operation enabled intervention on multiple fronts, from common crime to compliance with labor regulations.

The report shows four arrests carried out pursuant to arrest warrants against individuals already known to law enforcement, responsible for various crimes against persons, domestic violence, drug violations, and counterfeit goods trafficking. The arrests were made in Marcianise, Capodrise, Sant'Arpino, and Gricignano di Aversa, with those subject to the orders transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison or, where applicable, placed under house arrest.

On the predatory crime front, attention was also focused inside the Campania Shopping Center, where Carabinieri officers from the Operations Unit and Mobile Unit identified a group of young women, some minors, caught after stealing merchandise worth approximately six hundred euros. The stolen goods were recovered in full, thanks in part to a search of the vehicle used, and returned to their rightful owners, while the individuals involved were reported.

Roadside checks resulted in a woman being charged with violating a precautionary measure, as she was found outside her mandatory residence area. She was also reported to the Prefecture for using narcotics for personal use.

Efforts to combat illegal employment have been equally effective. In a restaurant in Orta di Atella, the military, together with the Labor Inspectorate, discovered several undeclared workers, including a non-EU citizen without a residence permit. The irregularities resulted in administrative fines of approximately three thousand euros, suspension of the business, and reports to the judicial authorities.

A total of two hundred people were identified and eighty vehicles were checked. Violations of the Highway Code resulted in fines totaling over fourteen thousand euros, with the confiscation of driving licences and the seizure or impoundment of several vehicles. This operation confirms the Carabinieri's firm stance on the territory, especially on weekends, when the risk of illegal activity increases.

The Carabinieri operation was very important, and arrests and checks were made. But I don't think this is enough to stop the crime out there; more is needed.
