Naples – The case of Suamy Rispoli, the sixteen-year-old girl who disappeared on December 2nd in Portici, near Naples, has ended with a sigh of relief. The girl was located by the Carabinieri in Naples and is in good health.
The young girl had been out of school regularly, but had not returned to the family home where she has lived since the beginning of the year, after her mother's parental rights were suspended.
The woman herself was the first to raise the alarm, asking for help on social media by posting a photo of her daughter. At the same time, the facility housing the minor also immediately filed a formal complaint for her removal.
The investigations and the discovery
From the very first hours, the Carabinieri began a thorough search in Portici and the surrounding towns, analyzing movements and testimonies. The investigations led investigators to Naples, where the young woman was eventually located. No evidence emerged suggesting a dangerous situation.
Returning to the family home
After the usual tests, Suamy will be returned to the foster home that has cared for her since January. It remains unclear what she did during the days she was not heard from, and whether anyone helped or hosted her.
The Carabinieri investigation continues to reconstruct the exact time of her disappearance and discovery, but the priority, investigators explain, was and is to protect the girl's well-being.
