Pozzuoli – It was a fiery evening yesterday in the streets of Pozzuoli, where Carabinieri officers from the Operations Unit engaged in a chase worthy of an action movie to apprehend a 39-year-old man already known to the judicial press.
Davide De Felice, born in 1986, was stopped after attempting to flee in his car when officers ordered him to stop during a routine drug check. The man, immediately recognized by officers, accelerated instead of stopping, sparking a chase through the streets of the Phlegraean Fields.
During the ride, the 39-year-old attempted to get rid of incriminating evidence: two doses of hashish thrown out the window, which were quickly recovered by the Carabinieri. Once stopped and searched, the man was arrested for possession with intent to sell and resisting a public officer. But the surprises didn't end there.
The house search led to the discovery of a cell phone used to contact customers and, more importantly, a notebook in which De Felice meticulously recorded debits, credits, and deliveries: a veritable "ledger" of his drug dealing activity.
Transferred to Poggioreale prison, the 39-year-old is now at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending validation of his arrest. This operation confirms the Carabinieri's constant attention to drug dealing in the Phlegraean Fields.

Yesterday's situation in Pozzuoli was very strange, with a chase that seemed almost unreal. I don't understand how certain people can react so aggressively, when the police are just doing their job. I hope justice takes its course.
