Arzano – A family tragedy rocks Arzano: a bioethanol stove suddenly ignites, engulfing an entire family in flames in an apartment on Via Don Luigi Sturzo.
According to the Carabinieri's initial reconstruction, the flames started from the heating appliance, engulfing the mother, father, 6-year-old son, and 16-year-old nephew. The fire quickly spread to a table and a sofa, but was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
The four injured, suffering from severe burns, were rushed to the Cardarelli and Santobono hospitals in Naples. Fortunately, none of their injuries are in danger, but their conditions remain under close medical monitoring.
The incident rekindles concerns about bioethanol stoves, often used for their modern appearance but potentially dangerous if not handled carefully. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire.
