He was supposed to serve 10 years and 8 months in prison for enslavement and maintenance for the purpose of prostitution, but he chose to disappear. The 38-year-old Nigerian's escape ended in Afragola, inside a premises illegally used for the sale of ethnic products, where the State Police tracked him down and arrested him.
Officers from the Naples Flying Squad executed the arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples – Criminal Enforcement Office – on October 23. A thorough local investigation allowed investigators to locate the wanted man and intervene before he could disappear completely.
When the police burst in, the 38-year-old was busy packing some suitcases. A detail that, according to the officers, left little doubt: "he was about to leave in order to cover his tracks." The attempt failed within moments, ending a period of fugitive status that now leaves him in custody.
