Scisciano – A typical Camorra-style ambush occurred this evening in Scisciano. A 48-year-old local man, already known to law enforcement, was shot dead at number 50 of Via G. Garibaldi.
According to initial reports, the victim was riding his Honda SH scooter when unknown assailants in another vehicle approached him. The attackers fired several shots, hitting the 48-year-old man and leaving him helpless on the asphalt, before quickly fleeing without a trace.
Carabinieri officers from the Castello di Cisterna company and soldiers from the San Vitaliano station responded to the scene of the murder. The Investigative Unit was also present, and began the investigation and surveys.
The area was cordoned off to allow for ballistic tests and the collection of any useful evidence, including images from the area's video surveillance cameras.
Investigations are ongoing to clarify the motive and reconstruct the exact dynamics of the ambush, while no leads have been ruled out.
