Drug trafficking that didn't stop at the age of the buyers and had turned dealing into a daily and systematic activity. This is the picture that emerged from the operation conducted this morning by the Carabinieri of the Agropoli Company, in the province of Salerno, which led to the execution of a precautionary detention order against six people.

The order was issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Vallo della Lucania Court, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which found serious evidence of guilt against the suspects. According to investigators' findings, the arrested individuals allegedly possessed and sold, including in collusion with one another, narcotics such as hashish, marijuana, and cocaine, supplying a group of consumers that included minors.

The precautionary measures imposed are differentiated and take into account individual positions: two people were placed under house arrest, two were ordered to report to the judicial police, and two were banned from residing in the Municipality of Agropoli. This decision reflects the different roles attributed to each suspect in the organization and management of the drug dealing.

The investigations, conducted under the coordination of the Vallo della Lucania Prosecutor's Office, documented multiple drug dealing incidents and led to the seizure of narcotics intended for distribution on several occasions. This investigative effort revealed a vibrant and well-established market in the area, capable of attracting even very young customers.

The most alarming aspect of the investigation remains the sale of drugs to minors, a factor that has aggravated the prosecution's case and brought the issue of drug use among young people back into the spotlight. This phenomenon, according to investigators, requires not only repression but also a broader social and preventive response.

The operation conducted by the Carabinieri is very important, but I wonder whether these measures are enough to stop drug trafficking. The situation of the minors involved is worrying and requires thorough consideration.
