A seemingly unmarked car, parked along a border road between Giugliano in Campania, Castel Volturno, and Villa Literno, was actually hiding a veritable arsenal. This was discovered by investigators from the Caserta Police Headquarters' Flying Squad during a broader judicial investigation aimed at combating illicit arms trafficking in the area between the provinces of Naples and Caserta.

The officers, following a series of checks gathered over the past few weeks, were able to identify the vehicle used as a clandestine storage facility. Inside, carefully concealed, they found pistols, fully functional submachine guns, silencers, and a large quantity of ammunition of various calibers: war equipment ready to be distributed to the local criminal network.

All recovered material was immediately seized and made available to the judicial authorities. Investigations are continuing to trace the supply network and the final recipients of the weapons, in an area historically plagued by criminal infiltration and illicit trafficking.
