A safer New Year's Eve thanks to an operation that removed a veritable arsenal of illegal fireworks from the streets. The Isernia Financial Police seized over 500 kilos of non-compliant fireworks from a business in the province of Caserta, as part of the increased security measures ordered by the provincial command ahead of New Year's Eve.
The highly dangerous material was intended for illegal sale. The business owner has been reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of North Naples for the violations found. The intervention is part of a broader prevention strategy aimed at curbing the spread of illegal fires and protecting public safety.
During the same operations, the finance police also intercepted a shipment of over 500 "Cobra 6" firecrackers, devices whose use is permitted only to persons with specific technical expertise. The material was transported on a vehicle without any authorization for the possession, handling, transportation, or storage of explosives.
The vehicle was seized and the driver reported to the Isernia Public Prosecutor's Office. This operation confirms the Guardia di Finanza's focus on safety, at a time when the illegal firecracker trade poses a real risk to citizens and businesses.
