In Capua, a clandestine cosmetic surgery clinic was discovered, revealing how the promise of beauty on social media can hide real dangers, raising questions about the safety and reliability of unauthorized healthcare services.

Capua - A clandestine cosmetic surgery clinic, set up in a home and skillfully promoted on social media, was dismantled by the financial police of the Capua Company. At the center of the investigation, coordinated by the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Public Prosecutor's Office, is a nurse who, posing as a doctor, operated without any license or VAT number.

The woman, reported for practicing medicine illegally, attracted clients by advertising her services on a popular social network. From her private home in Capua, she performed high-risk procedures: lip and cheek fillers, botulinum toxin injections, mesotherapy, and biorevitalization treatments, all without complying with legal requirements.

The search led to the seizure of a veritable medical arsenal: numerous syringes and test tubes, injectable substances such as hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxins, various medical devices, and even a laboratory centrifuge for separating plasma. A container containing medical waste was also found, and, most importantly, a detailed diary with the names of numerous clients, damning evidence of undeclared economic activity.

The law is clear: to practice aesthetic medicine in Italy, you must have a degree in Medicine and Surgery, be registered with the Medical Association, and complete a postgraduate specialization. The woman, not registered with the Medical Association, circumvented every regulation, endangering the health of her patients.

The military's investigations don't stop there. They are now focused on reconstructing the illicit business volume, quantifying the undeclared income and tax evasion associated with the dangerous clandestine activity.

It's truly worrying how people trust those with no qualifications. Beauty isn't worth risking your health. Let's hope the authorities implement more controls to stop these dangerous activities.
