Casavatore – Municipal elections and appeal to the Regional Administrative Court (TAR): the Prefecture shatters Vito Marino's dreams. Fabrizio Celaj remains mayor. The review process before the prefect's delegate following the appeal filed by brothers Angelo and Vito Marino has now concluded.
In front of the defense lawyers and the designated witnesses, the opening of the packages essentially left the distance between Vito Marino (appellant) and Fabrizio Celaj (respondent) unchanged and decreed, at least in numbers, a first victory for the incumbent mayor which will have to and will be confirmed before the TAR on February 25, 2026 following the acquisition of the report drawn up by the Prefecture which would also have recorded the conformity of the closing of the packages.
The hearing to hear the appeal—signed by lawyer Antonio Parisi—filed by Vito Marino (along with his brother Angelo), a candidate for mayor in the Casavatore municipal elections held on May 25th and 26th, will be crucial in putting a definitive end to the ongoing rumors.
A sad blow for Vito Marino, who for the second time has been denied a seat on the highest bench in the municipality. Meanwhile, rumors are circulating among Marino's supporters that the legal process will continue, even if it appears to be an uphill battle, if not a futile one.

It's interesting to see how the situation is developing, but I wonder if Vito Marino has a real chance of winning the TAR. The numbers speak for themselves, but hope is the last to die. However, it seems unlikely.
