Casoria – Protecting the city's tree population: Councilor Maria Crispino outlines the municipal green budget. Through Sector V, Environment – Public Green Spaces – Heritage, the department presents the 2025 Green Budget: a clear and transparent account of the activities undertaken to protect and manage the city's tree population and green spaces.
"All municipal trees and green spaces have been surveyed. Each tree has been given its own "identity card," with information on its type, age, and health, for increasingly effective management of urban greenery," Councilor Crispino stated.
“This year the Public Green Maintenance Plan was launched, which will allow for the structured planning of pruning, fertilization and grassing.
The numbers of the interventions: 1.600 prunings throughout the municipality. 190 interventions to secure dangerous or dead trees. Weed control on 15.000 square meters of the municipality. Weed control on 46.000 square meters of schools and parks.
“Since 2024,” he further specifies, “around 150 tree planting projects have been carried out along the main roads, for a greener and more livable city.
With the 2025 Green Budget, the Municipal Administration confirms its commitment to the sustainable, safe, and conscious management of public greenery, for the benefit of the entire community.
