Castel Volturno – A night of terror in a quiet family home. Carabinieri from the Mondragone Territorial Unit and the Castel Volturno Police Station arrested a 35-year-old local man, already known to law enforcement, on charges of attempted extortion and domestic violence.
The man, who lived under the same roof as his elderly father, allegedly physically assaulted him after persistently demanding money. According to the police's reconstruction, the 35-year-old allegedly demanded a sum of money—likely to purchase drugs—and went so far as to threaten and strike his father when he refused.
