The nightlife of Cava de' Tirreni comes to an abrupt halt in the streets of the town center, where two girls—one adult, the other minor—are stopped by police officers while selling drugs to a young user. It's the culmination of a swift operation that uncovers a drug dealing ring involving very young women, with cash and phones proving the illicit activity.
During the search, the adult woman was found with several doses of drugs, recently received cash, and, surprisingly, she spontaneously handed over additional doses hidden in her clothing. The minor, however, was caught with €435 in cash and three cell phones, items believed by the police to be closely related to drug dealing. Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of additional drugs weighing approximately 9 grams.
The adult was placed under house arrest pending the validation hearing, while the minor was released to her parents by order of the juvenile prosecutor.
