Naples – Officers from the Naples Local Police Road Accident Unit have identified and seized the vehicle involved in the accident that killed a 46-year-old motorcyclist on December 12th on Via De Meis, in the Ponticelli neighborhood. The driver has also been identified and reported to the judicial authorities.

Legal measures have been taken against the driver, including the suspension of his driving license and the seizure of his cell phone, which will be subjected to technical checks to determine whether it was used at the time of the accident.

The accident occurred around 8:30 PM and resulted in the death of the 46-year-old motorcyclist. Initial investigations into the position of the two-wheeler and the nature of the damage immediately raised doubts about the accident, leading to speculation that a second vehicle was involved.

Thanks to the testimonies collected on site, the analysis of the images from the video surveillance systems present in the area and the subsequent checks on the territory, the officers were able to reconstruct the directions of travel and identify the car which, after the impact, drove away without providing assistance to the motorcyclist.

The vehicle was seized and made available to the judicial authorities for further technical investigations.
