Naples – More bloodshed in the heart of Naples, in an incident that rekindles the spotlight on the security crisis and the scourge of youth crime. A 47-year-old tourist, originally from Forlì and vacationing in the Neapolitan city, was attacked, robbed, and stabbed by a group of young people, presumably minors, in the popular and picturesque Rione Sanità neighborhood.

The nightmare unfolded the other evening, around 23:30 PM, as the man was returning home to the B&B where he was staying. According to the dramatic account he gave to police officers, he was suddenly surrounded by a "gang" of kids. They began hurling insults at him in thick dialect, a mixture of insults, taunts, and, most likely, demands for money and valuables.

The 47-year-old man from Romagna, clearly struggling to comprehend the threats and paralyzed by fear, didn't know how to react. The situation escalated in moments. The attack was swift and brutal: the man was punched and finally stabbed with a knife drawn by one of the attackers.

Collapsed on the ground, in pain and shock, the tourist managed to call for help. An ambulance immediately arrived on the scene, rushing him to the Pellegrini Hospital. Treated in the emergency room, he received a seven-day prognosis, fortunately without serious injuries.

Despite the brutal experience, the 47-year-old chose not to immediately interrupt his vacation. He returned to his accommodation and, as planned, left the next day.

Meanwhile, the police have launched a thorough investigation to identify those responsible for this cowardly act. Investigators are now focusing on video surveillance footage from the area, hoping to track down the gang of young people who, once again, have cast a shadow of violence and fear over the urban fabric of Naples, undermining visitors' sense of safety.
