From Naples to Torre Annunziata to stock up on drugs. The trip of a 23-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement, ended in arrest. He was stopped by the State Police as part of the extraordinary territorial control operations ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug dealing.
The operation began yesterday morning on Via Prota, where officers from the Torre Annunziata Police Station spotted the young man in a car. Upon seeing the patrol, the 23-year-old attempted to quickly drive away, arousing the suspicions of the officers, who immediately stopped him.
The search yielded approximately 173 grams of hashish, a knife with the blade still coated with the drug, as well as packaging materials and a precision scale. The young man was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics and charged at large with illegal possession of offensive objects.
The searches then continued at the 23-year-old's home, where the officers found another two grams of hashish, hidden under the mattress in the bedroom.
At the end of the activities, the man was taken into custody and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.

The drug situation in the city is very worrying, especially when young people are involved in these activities. We hope that law enforcement can do more to prevent these incidents, even if it's not easy.
