Paris – A sensational, yet unauthorized, promotional launch has landed in a court case. French YouTuber Loris Giuliano, a well-known content creator and Napoli fan, has landed in trouble after promoting his documentary about the Neapolitan team with a fireworks display in front of the Eiffel Tower, in the heart of the French capital.
According to authorities, an investigation has been opened for "endangering the lives of others." The key issue is the lack of any authorization for a fireworks display, a circumstance deemed particularly serious given the setting: the area at the foot of Paris's iconic monument, in an area with a high tourist population.
A video posted on social media also reportedly drew investigators' attention: in the footage, Giuliano appears from behind on the Trocadéro esplanade, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. He's wearing a black suit and has the poster for the documentary about Naples on his back, while several surprised tourists film the scene with their cell phones and cameras during the fireworks display.
In the video, the YouTuber – who has nearly two million subscribers on YouTube – turns to the camera and celebrates the completion of the work, effectively announcing the release of the documentary, which was reportedly uploaded to his channel yesterday evening.
The promotional event, however, appears to have been unauthorized. The 16th arrondissement city hall confirmed this to the newspaper Le Parisien, explaining that, in the absence of the required permits, a complaint was filed and an investigation was initiated.

It's strange how people don't think about the consequences of their actions. You put on a fireworks display without a permit and then you find yourself in trouble. That should be an important lesson for event organizers.
