Giugliano – The end of the line for a 49-year-old Neapolitan man, tracked down and arrested on Saturday afternoon by State Police officers. The man, who had been issued a detention order, will now face a lengthy prison sentence for very serious sexual offenses.
The operation was conducted by officers from the Giugliano-Villaricca Police Station, who routinely patrol the area north of Naples. The officers executed a restraining order issued just twenty-four hours earlier, last Friday, by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples North – Criminal Enforcement Office.
The conviction, now final, weighs heavily: the 49-year-old will have to serve a remaining sentence of 6 years and 8 months in prison. The charges that led to the conviction concern sexual assault, a type of crime for which the judiciary and law enforcement are increasingly active in ensuring sentences are served until the very last day. After the usual formalities at the police station, the man was sent to prison.

The article is interesting, but there's a lot I don't understand, like why this man committed those crimes and what the current state of justice is in Italy. The sentences often seem too light for such serious crimes.
