"Penalties are always difficult to deal with, we're happy to have advanced. The ball weighed a lot, I went to the spot confidently, without thinking; I'm happy to have scored ," he said to Sport Mediaset. His gaze immediately turned to the future and to the next opponent, Juventus: "We'll try to prepare as best we can ," he added.
Alongside him was Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, also a key player from eleven meters. The goalkeeper dismissed any doubts about his teammate McTominay after conceding the goal in regulation time: "I don't think it was McTominay's mistake, it was an unfortunate situation, a rebound can happen."
