Naples – A weekend of extraordinary checks in Mergellina, where the State Police intensified surveillance in the chalet area and in Largo Sermoneta, the heart of the waterfront nightlife. The checks, conducted by officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue with the support of the Local Police, led to the identification of 405 people, seventy-one of whom had criminal records.
Attention was also focused on road traffic: one hundred and ten vehicles were checked, seven of which were subjected to administrative seizure, while ten violations were contested for failure to comply with the Highway Code.
The operation is part of a broader monitoring plan for high-traffic areas in the evening, aimed at preventing incidents of illegal activity and ensuring safer use of public spaces.
