Napoli – Aurelio De Laurentiis has no doubts: the 2025-26 Napoli version is stronger than the team that was fighting for the Scudetto twelve months ago. The Napoli president stated this in an interview with Sky Sport on the sidelines of the AIC Gran Gala del Calcio.
"I'm convinced this Napoli is strong, stronger than last year," De Laurentiis began. "The injuries, painful as they may be, have given way to new signings: we've seen them at work, and they're extraordinary players. Now we need to continue to make them love this shirt."
Regarding the league, the Neapolitan club's president preaches humility despite the favorable standings: "We'll have a wonderful tournament, but there are only twenty of us playing for it. Absolute respect for all our competitors: it's a spectacular championship."
A word about Antonio Conte's outburst after the Bologna draw. De Laurentiis toned down the situation: "When there are so many injuries, it's normal to have a moment of despair, which can spread to the dressing room. But I think Bologna is being underestimated: they're a great team with a great coach whom I respect immensely. We're all there; no one has escaped."
The message is clear: keep your head down, be confident, and be aware that the road to the Scudetto is still long and full of pitfalls.
