Naples – A significant step forward for urban security comes from the Naples metropolitan area. With a decree dated November 12, 2025, the Ministry of the Interior approved the final ranking of municipal projects for the implementation of video surveillance systems, co-financed by the Ministry itself. The initiative, coordinated at the local level by the Prefectures, aims to strengthen crime prevention and support local law enforcement.
Of the 31 applicant municipalities, 28 were approved, and among these were Caivano, Striano, Quarto, Castello di Cisterna, Camposano, San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, Sant'Antonio Abate, and Lettere. The project selection was guided by objective criteria, such as population density and crime rate, to focus investments where they are most needed.
"The installation of video surveillance systems is not only a law enforcement measure," emphasized Prefect Michele di Bari, "but also an effective deterrent against theft, vandalism, and petty crime, improving citizens' quality of life." The funded municipalities will now be able to begin implementing advanced technological infrastructure, in compliance with privacy regulations and in close collaboration with the competent authorities.

Use cameras also for road traffic accidents, parking restrictions, cars on sidewalks, and dangerous driving!!
Then maybe we also want to fix these damn potholes that I'm fed up with changing tires? We want to invest in municipal parking at reasonable prices? We want to take away the mandate of those who manage the blue lines, because €2 per fraction of an hour is shameful? We want to put more garbage cans and maybe empty them continuously where there's tourism? No, we throw money at random and live forgotten by everyone.
