Naples – He escaped house arrest to return to drug dealing and ended up back in prison within days. This is what happened to Francesco Autiero, 47, a resident of the San Pietro a Patierno neighborhood, already known to law enforcement for specific criminal convictions.

On Thursday afternoon, officers from the Secondigliano Police Station's investigative and operational team arrested the man on charges of escape and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. This is Autiero's second arrest in a short time: he was arrested on December 2nd for the same crimes.

The officers had gone to his home, where the 47-year-old was under house arrest, to return some cell phones seized during the previous operation. Upon arriving, however, the officers discovered that the man was not home. A short distance away, on the street, they spotted him selling a dose of cocaine.

Immediately apprehended, Autiero was arrested and taken to Poggioreale prison, pending a validation hearing. The drug he had just sold was seized, while the buyer was reported to the Prefecture for personal drug use.

The incident is part of an investigative context already known to investigators. Earlier this month, during targeted checks in Largo IV Aprile, near the post office, officers observed Autiero making several drug sales. Arrested along with one of the buyers, he was found in possession of seven wraps of cocaine and €110 in cash, divided into bills of various denominations.

At the end of the investigations, on that occasion too, the 47-year-old was arrested by the staff of the Secondigliano Police Station, while the client was administratively fined for illegal possession of narcotics.
