NAPLES. When visual art blends with the magic of music and the allure of acting: this coming December 2nd (starting at 7:00 PM), in the evocative setting of Naples Cathedral, "Art Celebrates the Jubilee" will come to life: a multidisciplinary performance combining music, poetry, painting, and acting in a journey, that of the Artists of the Catholic Union of Italian Artists (UCAI), through the history of the Holy Year.

The initiative, conceived and directed by Elsa Evangelista, president of the Naples chapter of UCAI, and promoted by the Archdiocese of Naples, aims to pay homage to the Jubilee Year and the universal value of peace through a multidisciplinary artistic language.

Approximately 80 artists—including musicians, painters, actors, and poets from the UCAI—will bring to life a scenic narrative that traces the history of the Jubilee, from its first proclamation to the present day, creating an immersive journey of great spiritual intensity. During the event, several iconic works of Western artistic tradition will be presented in visual form: Giotto's fresco celebrating the proclamation of the first Jubilee, Caravaggio's Madonna of the Pilgrims, Beato Angelico's Last Judgement, and Picasso's Guernica.

The musical performances, all live, will range from medieval to modern repertoire, with pieces by Machaut, Bach, Scarlatti, Rossini, Widor, Stradella, and Landolfi. Readings dedicated to the history of the Jubilee, alongside sacred texts and poetry, will accompany the audience in a moment of reflection on the meaning of the Holy Year. Among the evening's performers: Sergio Orabona, Rossella Moio, Armando Valentino, Chiara Polese, Stefano Sorrentino, Maurizio Merolla, Aldo Spina, Giuseppe Andretta, Giuseppe Guastaferro, Luciana Mascia, Francesca Strino, Alessandra Olivieri, and Colomba Capriglione.
