Naples - A seemingly never-ending nightmare for a young mother from the Spanish Quarter, stalked for months by her ex-partner, who never accepted the end of their relationship.

Yet another night of terror unfolded in the alleys of the historic center, culminating Saturday morning with the arrest of 39-year-old SP, already known to law enforcement and previously detained for the same crime a few days ago.

According to the police's reconstruction, the escalation of violence began in the middle of the night. The man showed up at the victim's home, railed against the door, and then left before the patrol car, called by the terrified woman, arrived. But a few hours later, in the morning, the same pattern repeated itself, even more aggressively.

"Open up, or I'll hurt you!" the man reportedly yelled, kicking and punching the door. Officers from the Montecalvario Police Station's Flying Squad, along with colleagues from the General Prevention Office, arrived at the scene on Via Pasquale Scura. When they arrived, the officers found SP in a frenzy, making increasingly explicit threats to the woman.

"As soon as I get out of prison, kill her, I'll cut off her head."

The words uttered upon seeing the uniforms left no doubt as to the dangerous nature of the situation: "You do your thing, I'll do mine. As soon as I'm free, I'll kill her, I'll cut off her head." These words were recorded by investigators in the arrest report, making the arrest inevitable.

Initial investigations revealed that the man had already been arrested by the same officers on November 14th, after sneaking into his ex-girlfriend's house in the middle of the night, surprising her in her apartment. Once released, he resumed his relentless stalking of her.

This time, however, the officers caught him red-handed, putting an end—at least for now—to a cycle of violence that has long tormented the victim and her minor children, who have repeatedly been forced to witness the man's threats. The arrested man was taken back to the police station to await judicial decisions.
