Naples – He was lurking suspiciously near the San Pietro a Patierno post office, on Largo IV Aprile. This coming and going didn't go unnoticed by the officers of the Secondigliano police station's investigative and operational team, led by Deputy Commissioner Tommaso Pintauro.
These unusual movements triggered a search that led, on Wednesday afternoon, to the arrest of Francesco Autiero, 47, a Neapolitan from the area and already known to law enforcement.
According to the police's reconstruction, the man was observed making several drug sales to several individuals who approached him in turn. The officers, engaged in a targeted operation to combat drug dealing ordered by the Naples police headquarters, decided to intervene to nip yet another incident of petty trafficking in the neighborhood in the bud.

Autiero was arrested along with one of the buyers. During a personal search, officers from the Secondigliano police station found on the 47-year-old seven packages containing cocaine, already divided into doses, and €110 in cash, in bills of various denominations, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The man was arrested red-handed on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, a crime for which he had a prior conviction. Following the completion of the standard investigations, the arrested man was released to the judicial authorities.
The buyer, however, found in possession of drugs for personal use, was reported to the prefecture and administratively fined for illegal possession of narcotics.
