Naples, nightmare nights at the Maradona Stadium: gangs on motorcycles, threats, and absent institutions. Europa Verde raises the alarm: "A permanent presence is needed immediately."

Catenaccio: New shocking video documents nighttime anarchy in the area in front of the facility: races, wheelies, and rodeos from 23:30 PM to 1:30 AM. Activists report: "We alerted the police, but no action was taken. We were threatened while filming." The appeal to MP Borrelli: "Security plans are insufficient, immediate action is needed."

(Naples) – Another night of chaos and fear has transformed the area of the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium into an illegal and dangerous racetrack. Between 23:30 PM and 1:30 AM last Friday, dozens of scooters, motorcycles, and cars engaged in illegal races, skidding tires and performing reckless wheelies, operating with complete impunity. The new, dramatic alarm was raised by Europa Verde, with a video denunciation filmed by activists Rosario Pugliese, a member of the party's executive, and Daniele Polge, of the committee for the normalization of the area.

The images, already sent to regional MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, paint a picture of degradation and lawlessness that is now recurring with unbearable frequency. "This situation is no longer tolerable," thunders Borrelli. "Every night of chaos is an attack on public safety. That parking area, far from being safe, is a free zone where the law seems suspended."

The environmentalists' complaint becomes even more serious when they recount the events of the evening. "We were on site and alerted both the local police and 112," Pugliese and Polge explain. "Despite detailed reports, no action was taken." During their inspection, the activists also faced direct threats. "We were insulted and intimidated by several scooter riders, some clearly minors. Our crime? Standing there filming. Among the insults, they understood their fear that the footage would end up at Borrelli's."

The heart of the protest is a desperate plea to institutions to move from words to action. "If, despite injuries, incidents, and threats, a decisive response isn't forthcoming, the truth must be told: the security plans are insufficient," the Europa Verde representatives conclude. "Those in charge must quickly clarify how they intend to proceed. No more promises are needed; we need permanent security, active surveillance, and a structured plan. Citizens cannot be left alone in a symbolic location of the city. Naples needs courageous decisions, not delays."

The article describes a truly serious situation at the Maradona Stadium, but it seems strange to me that the authorities aren't intervening. There are problems every night, and it seems like no one does anything. A serious security plan is needed.
