Naples – This morning, in the entrance hall of Palazzo San Giacomo, the seat of the City of Naples, a symbolic handover ceremony was held for the toys collected through the "Il Giocattolo Sospeso 2025" initiative. Mayor Gaetano Manfredi and Councilor for Youth Policies, Labor, and Social Policies Chiara Marciani distributed the gifts to children from families experiencing financial hardship and from some of the city's Roma camps.
"The Hanging Toy is an initiative that showcases our city's charitable spirit," Manfredi said during the event. "Naples is a community that knows how to reach out to those most in need, especially children, because no one should feel excluded from the joy of the holidays. I thank all the citizens who generously participated."

Councilor Marciani emphasized the value of the solidarity network: "This day is the result of a great deal of participatory work. With the Suspended Toy, we want to bring a smile to the faces of the little ones and reaffirm that solidarity is a value that unites us. We will continue to promote initiatives to support children and vulnerable families."
The initiative, promoted by the City Council, is inspired by the traditional Neapolitan practice of "suspended coffee" and is part of the program of actions for the Christmas holidays, aimed at making the city more inclusive. The event transformed the entrance hall of City Hall into a moment of celebration and sharing, renewing the administration's commitment to those most vulnerable.
