Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi has signed an ordinance to ensure safety in nightlife areas during the Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations.
The measure, which will affect December 24th and 31st, introduces a series of restrictions aimed at preventing disorder and ensuring the safety of citizens in high-traffic areas.
Prohibitions and times
The restrictions will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 24 and 31. The ordinance prohibits the sale of beverages in bottles, cans, and glass, rigid plastic, or Tetra Pak containers. Businesses may only serve drinks in lightweight plastic or paper cups.
It will also be prohibited to sell and possess pepper sprays or nebulizing devices containing oleoresin capsicum.
The introduction and use of fireworks, firecrackers, firecrackers, rockets, and similar pyrotechnic devices is also strictly prohibited. The restrictions apply to some of the busiest areas of the city during the Christmas holidays.

Finally, in Vomero, the restrictions will affect a large area including Piazza Ferdinando Fuga, Piazza Vanvitelli, Via Aniello Falcone, Via Raffaele Morghen, Via Gianlorenzo Bernini, Via Scarlatti, Via Luca Giordano, Via G. Merliani, Via E. Alvino, Piazza Medaglie d'Oro, Piazza Immacolata, Piazza Leonardo, Piazza degli Artisti, Piazza Francesco Muzii, Piazzale San Martino, Via Michele Kerbaker, Piazza Cosimo Fanzago, and Via Francesco Cilea between the intersection with Via Scarlatti and the intersection with Via San Domenico.

And I know for years that it is forbidden but always full hospitals make more patrol cars go around that day that there are no firecrackers but rather that we locals at 16pm have to stay at home to avoid being hit that day you don't see a patrol car
