Naples, student injured in attempted robbery

It happened on Via Firenze, in the San Lorenzo neighborhood: the young woman, originally from the province of Potenza, was taken to the Pellegrini Hospital with a 30-day prognosis. The Carabinieri of the Naples Central Company are investigating.

Naples – A 19-year-old university student from the province of Potenza ended up in the hospital after being the victim of an attempted street robbery.

According to initial reports, the young woman was walking along Via Firenze, in the San Lorenzo neighborhood, when she was approached by a man on a scooter who allegedly attempted to snatch her bag. In an attempt to defend her backpack, the girl fell to the ground and was dragged for several meters, sustaining several injuries.

The victim was rescued and transported to the emergency room at Pellegrini Hospital, where doctors gave her a 30-day prognosis. Carabinieri from the Naples Central Company responded to the scene and the hospital, launching an investigation to accurately reconstruct the events and identify the perpetrator of the attack.

I hope the student recovers soon. It's truly unacceptable that people still commit such violent and unscrupulous acts. We must do something to stop this wave of crime.

This situation is very serious and unfortunately happens often in cities like Naples. It's important that authorities increase street safety to protect citizens, especially young people like this girl.
