Qualiano – A drop of approximately 10 centimeters in the road surface, unmarked potholes, and widespread cracks: this is the situation reported on Provincial Road 1 in the Qualiano area, a fast-flowing artery used daily by thousands of vehicles.

The political movement Italia dei Diritti-De Pierro, led by journalist Antonello De Pierro, has raised the alarm, calling the damage "unacceptable" and calling for immediate action to prevent accidents, especially involving motorcyclists and pedestrians. The phenomenon, already reported in the past on the same stretch, highlights a chronic lack of maintenance, according to the movement.

"Every citizen must be able to use the roads without risking their lives. An unreported sinkhole is a real danger, and maintenance must be ongoing, not sporadic," said Maira Nacar, Naples provincial secretary of the Italy of Rights-De Pierro party.

Corrado Fella, the movement's shadow councilor, echoed her sentiments: "It's unacceptable that such a busy road has a difference in level that puts the safety of those who use it at risk. We demand immediate inspection and repairs."

More general criticism came from national leaders. Carlo Spinelli, head of Internal Policy, spoke of "insufficient management of road safety," while President Antonello De Pierro emphasized: "The disruption on the SP1 cannot become a daily occurrence. We will continue to urge the authorities to implement structural maintenance and monitoring programs."

The movement has announced it will send photographic documentation and reports to the relevant institutions, including the Metropolitan City of Naples, and will monitor the implementation of the work. In Campania, the problem of poor provincial roads is recurrent, with potholes and sinkholes causing damage to vehicles and accidents, as evidenced by numerous complaints in recent years.
