A robbery took place in the center of Qualiano on Christmas Eve, while many families were gathered for Christmas dinner. Two thieves, their faces covered, were caught casually moving around the balconies of a first-floor building, despite the screams and protests of residents looking out their windows.

The scene, captured in a video that quickly went viral, shows the two criminals climbing over the railing and lowering themselves into the street after presumably attempting to gain access to an apartment on the upper floors. The raid took place on Via Di Vittorio, near the well-known Cerqua store, in a central and popular area of ​​the municipality north of Naples.

The video, which lasts about a minute, documents the final stage of the attack: the thieves abandon the first-floor balcony after descending from the second and third floors, then quickly escape in a car. Meanwhile, cars and scooters pass by on the street, while some passersby watch in disbelief as they escape without intervening.

The lights were off in the targeted apartment, and it's currently unclear whether the owners were home or whether the thieves managed to steal some of their loot before leaving. The fact remains that the attack, which occurred at a particularly sensitive time and in a particularly sensitive context, further fueled the sense of insecurity among residents.

The Carabinieri of the Qualiano station were informed of the incident, and they have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators. It has not been ruled out that they are the same gang involved in other residential burglaries reported in recent weeks in Marano, Qualiano, and Quarto.
