Armed robbery on the Ravenna coast: the Carabinieri have executed a precautionary custody order against one of the two alleged perpetrators of a robbery carried out in May in Cervia, during which a Rolex worth around 40.000 euros was allegedly stolen from an entrepreneur and

€2.000 in cash. The order, issued by the investigating judge of the Ravenna Court, concerns two men aged 33 and 47, both of Neapolitan origin. The search for the second man is currently ongoing.

The warrant charges aggravated robbery, possession of weapons, and possession of counterfeit badges. The execution was carried out by officers from the Cervia-Milano Marittima Company, with the support of the Naples Stella and Marano Companies. The arrested man was taken to the Naples Poggioreale prison, while an arrest warrant is pending for his alleged accomplice.

According to the reconstruction by the NORM investigators, the robbery took place late in the evening after a dinner organized by the victim, the owner of a luxury car dealership. He was accompanied by a man who introduced himself as a broker from a Neapolitan dealership and had come to the Riviera to finalize the purchase of a vehicle.

While the two were traveling in the car they were negotiating, a second vehicle allegedly approached. Reaching an isolated, dimly lit area near the Cervia salt flats, the criminals allegedly simulated a police checkpoint by using flashing lights and a traffic light—a ploy that, investigators believe, was also made possible by the use of counterfeit badges.

At that point, two robbers allegedly got out and, at gunpoint, stole the businessman's watch and cash, then left him stranded on the street without his car keys. The investigation led to the identification of the alleged perpetrator and an accomplice: the latter is believed to be the man who posed as a go-between, luring the victim and accompanying him to the location deemed "suitable" for the ambush.

The search for the second suspect continues, while the Carabinieri investigation remains open to reconstruct every phase of the robbery and ascertain any further responsibilities.
