A night of fun quickly turned into a scene of chaos and violence in the heart of Salerno's nightlife. Between Saturday and Sunday, in the area of Piazza Flavio Gioia, known to all as the Rotonda, a brawl involving about fifteen youths broke out, disrupting the peace and sowing fear among residents and passersby.
According to initial reports, the fight broke out for seemingly trivial reasons, quickly escalating into a heated confrontation involving shouting, shoving, and moments of intense tension. The situation escalated within minutes, attracting the attention of those in the premises and surrounding areas, as well as numerous residents peering out of their windows.
Police cars responded to the scene, restoring order and immediately launching an investigation. Officers are working to identify all participants and accurately reconstruct the events, including by analyzing video surveillance footage in the area. It also remains unclear whether any minors were involved, a factor that could impact the investigation.
