Sant'Antimo – An illegal fireworks factory was hidden in a premises owned by a 34-year-old Neapolitan man. This was discovered by the State Police during checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters against the clandestine production and sale of pyrotechnic materials.

The man was reported for illegal possession and trade in explosives.

The Falcons of the Naples Flying Squad and officers from the Administrative and Social Police went into action. The operation began with a thorough information-investigation effort, fueled by constant monitoring of social media, channels believed to be frequently used to advertise and place fireworks.

Having identified the suspect, investigators followed him. The 34-year-old drove to Sant'Antimo, then entered a business linked to him.

It was there that the police's intuition paid off. Inside the building, the officers discovered a warehouse equipped for the management of pyrotechnic materials, including components and products that were homemade and unlabeled.

The seizure resulted in a heavy loss: several batteries of fireworks weighing a total of approximately 50 kg, 78 rockets, 35 mortar bombs, 81 fuses, as well as numerous homemade firecrackers, hand-crafted pyrotechnic devices, and other materials used in production.

At the end of the investigations, the 34-year-old was reported.
