Davide Massa will referee one of the most anticipated matches of Serie A's 18th matchday. On Sunday at 12:30 p.m., at the Stadio Olimpico, the Imperia native will officiate the match between Lazio and Napoli, a high-ranking clash that kicks off Sunday's league season. Massa will be assisted by Meli and Alassio, with Piccinini serving as fourth official, while Di Paolo and Doveri will be in charge of VAR.

Saturday evening of Matchday 18 will see Gian Piero Gasperini return to the New Balance Arena as an opponent. Atalanta-Roma will be officiated by Michael Fabbri of the Ravenna team, with Cecconi and Bercigli as linesmen, Zufferli as fourth official, and Maresca, along with Di Paolo, as VAR assistant referees.
