This was confirmed by Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi, who, on the sidelines of the presentation of the events for Naples European Capital of Sport 2026, outlined the route of the planned renovations to the Fuorigrotta stadium.

"We have begun planning a comprehensive project, in addition to the third tier project, which has already begun," Manfredi said, clarifying that the work will not be limited to the already planned interventions but will also focus on a broader redevelopment of the stadium.

At the heart of the discussion is the issue of resources. "We are discussing with the Region to ensure the necessary resources are available," the mayor explained, emphasizing the climate of institutional collaboration. "President Fico is available, so the coming weeks will be intense."

The article talks about the revitalization of the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, but I'm not sure what the details of the interventions are and what resources are being sought. I hope the mayor will clarify the situation further.
