Mercato San Severino – The Christmas spirit doesn't die out with Epiphany. In fact, it will return, more alive than ever, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 8:30 pm, at the Banco Alimentare Campania headquarters in Mercato San Severino (SA), for the evening event "The Suspended Toy."

An initiative promoted by the Super Sud ETS Foundation in collaboration with the Campania Food Bank, with a simple yet powerful goal: to raise funds to purchase toys for the most vulnerable children, especially those hospitalized in the region's hospitals.

The heart of the event will be a special installation: a charming Christmas tree built entirely of LEGO toys, made possible thanks to the partnership with the well-known brand, the evening's main sponsor.

The tree will be a tangible symbol of the public's generosity, before being dismantled and taken directly to the pediatric wards. Distribution to the young patients will be entrusted to a group of real-life superheroes—volunteers from the AGE association—to transform a gift into a moment of pure magic.

"The Hanging Toy is much more than a charity event: it's an opportunity to remind ourselves that, even with small gestures, we can do great things," emphasizes Giovanni D'Avenia, President of the Super Sud ETS Foundation. A mission shared by Roberto Tuorto, Director of the Campania Food Bank: "This wonderful event is repeated every year for the many children who spend the holidays in hospitals."

The evening, also organized with the main sponsor Movida in Tour, brings together solidarity, art, and community. An exhibition of works by artist Hanen Mekrassi will be held, demonstrating the broad and cohesive local network that includes associations such as Athena Arte Baronissi, AVO, Adorea, AIL Salerno, and many others.

Participation is possible by purchasing a ticket (minimum donation €25). Those unable to attend can still donate via bank transfer to the Fondazione Super Sud ETS IBAN (IT75D0326815201052663803560), specifying "Donation to Fondazione Super Sud ETS – Il Giocattolo Sospeso" in the reason for payment.

As a famous quote from Mother Teresa of Calcutta that accompanies the initiative recalls, the invitation is extended to everyone: "Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love." To build, one brick at a time, a mountain of smiles.
