The Eagle/Torre Annunziata – The curtain falls on the short but intense criminal career of a man, identified as the alleged perpetrator of a series of predatory crimes which, in just under a month, have sown panic among shopkeepers and residents of Torre Annunziata.

Yesterday afternoon, December 5, 2025, the Flying Squad of the L'Aquila Police Headquarters executed a restraining order, ending his fugitive status. The alleged crimes occurred within a short period of time, between March 26 and April 24, and targeted businesses, private homes, and, with particular relentlessness, a music high school in the Vesuvian city.

The raid at the Music High School

The school itself was the perpetrator's primary target, and in a truly daring escalation, he visited it for four consecutive days. The crime wasn't limited to theft alone: the man caused significant damage to the building and stole several valuable items, including musical instruments, thus depriving the teaching and student community of valuable resources.

The investigative efforts, launched immediately by the Torre Annunziata Police Station staff and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, were decisive. Thanks to a "painstaking analysis" of footage extracted from both public and private video surveillance systems, the State Police were able to gather serious evidence of guilt, which led, with "reasonable certainty," to the identification of the perpetrator.

The investigation also shed light on another figure: an accomplice, active in a robbery committed against a commercial establishment.

Following the usual formalities, the main suspect, arrested in execution of the order, was immediately taken to the L'Aquila prison. For the accomplice, however, the judicial authorities imposed a less severe but still significant measure: the requirement to report to the Judicial Police daily.

The raid marks a victory for law enforcement and the Prosecutor's Office, restoring a sense of security among the citizens of Torre Annunziata and bringing an end to an alarming wave of predatory crime.
