On Christmas Eve, a large-scale patrol operation was launched in the city's main nightlife areas. The operation, coordinated by the Naples Police Headquarters, involved officers from the State Police, the Carabinieri, and the Guardia di Finanza, with support from the Metropolitan Police and the Local Police.
The checks focused on the historic center, Chiaia, Posillipo, and Vomero, traditionally crowded areas during the holidays. During the operation, 70 people were identified, six of whom were already known to law enforcement. Two individuals were also fined for possession of narcotics for personal use.
Commercial businesses were also targeted: six establishments were inspected, three of which were fined for violating noise regulations and for selling beverages in glass cups and bottles, which violated urban safety regulations.
The operation is part of a broader prevention effort put in place for the Christmas holidays, aimed at ensuring public order and safety in nightlife areas.

The news about the Christmas Eve checks is interesting, but I think we need more information on exactly how they were carried out and what the final results of this operation were.
