Villa Literno – A 31-year-old man, a resident of Villa Literno and already known to law enforcement for property crimes, has been arrested on charges of mistreatment and assault against his partner.
The alarm was raised after a call to the Casal di Principe Carabinieri Operations Center. Officers from the Villa Literno station, assisted by emergency personnel, arrived a few minutes later at the apartment where the violence had occurred. They were greeted by the young woman, clearly in a state of shock and with clear signs of beatings on her face.
Emergency medical personnel administered first aid, noting swellings that were expected to heal within seven days, barring complications. Her partner, the 31-year-old man identified as the perpetrator of the attack, was also found at the scene, in a state of severe agitation.
The Carabinieri's immediate investigation reconstructed the dynamics of the heated argument, which escalated into physical violence. The man, present when officers arrived, was subsequently arrested and taken into custody. Given the seriousness of the incident and the violent conduct, the Carabinieri arrested him in flagrante delicto.
After the usual formalities at the police station, the arrested man was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities. The Santa Maria Capua Vetere Public Prosecutor's Office, which was immediately informed, will now coordinate the subsequent investigation.
The incident is part of the Carabinieri's broader efforts to prevent and combat gender-based violence, which aim to provide immediate protection for victims and suppress behavior that threatens the safety of the most vulnerable within the home.
