On Monday, January 5th, at 9:30 PM, Rai1 will broadcast "Ogni promessa è debito," the new comedy written, directed, and starring Vincenzo Salemme. The event, which will air from the Rai Auditorium in Naples, represents a new chapter in Rai Cultura's project to bring great theater into Italian homes.
The evening celebrates a significant milestone in the career of the Neapolitan actor, playwright, and director, who for fifty years has kept alive a model of popular, auteur theater that is increasingly rare in the contemporary scene. With his unmistakable style, Salemme continues to write, direct, and perform his own works, strengthening the profound bond between stage and television audiences.
On stage, alongside the protagonist, a cast of twelve actors will perform: Nicola Acunzo, Domenico Aria, Vincenzo Borrino, Sergio D'Auria, Oscarino Di Maio, Pina Giarmanà, Gennaro Guazzo, Antonio Guerriero, Geremia Longobardo, Rosa Miranda, Agostino Pannone, and Fernanda Pinto. The project also features the collaboration of a high-level technical team: Roberto Crea for the sets, Francesca Romana Scudiero for the costumes, Cesare Accetta for the lighting, and Antonio Boccia for the original music.
The live broadcast will allow audiences to experience live theater, confirming Salemme's ability to tell stories that speak directly to the hearts of spectators, combining Neapolitan theatrical tradition with the universal language of comedy.

I don't know if it's a good idea to broadcast the play live, but it might be interesting for those who can't go to the theater. Salemme is a great actor, but I hope the cast lives up to the audience's expectations.
