A woman was raped on the night of August 15th by two young men in the Salerno area. Months later, the case has been closed against the two alleged perpetrators. The Flying Squad has executed an order for the precautionary measure of community placement, issued by the investigating judge at the Juvenile Court of Salerno, at the request of the local prosecutor's office, against two seventeen-year-olds.
The young men are being investigated for the gang rape of a sixteen-year-old girl. On the night of August 15th to 16th, the two young men, taking advantage of the minor's mental and physical inferiority, caused by alcohol and drug use, took her to a parking lot near a bonfire in a provincial seaside resort, forcing her to perform sexual acts and humiliating her with various insults.
The investigation, launched immediately by the Flying Squad, was based on the victim's statements, confirmed not only by analysis of telephone traffic records, but also by the testimonies of other people with knowledge of the facts and by video surveillance images, which captured the stages before and after the incident.
