Yesterday morning, Giugliano witnessed an intense joint security operation that led to the identification of 124 people and the seizure of four vehicles, as part of an initiative by the Naples Police Headquarters to strengthen local security.

Yesterday morning, Giugliano was the focus of an extraordinary territorial control operation ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters as part of intensified prevention and security activities.

The operation involved State Police officers, Carabinieri officers, and the Guardia di Finanza, with the collaboration of the Local Police and the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Unit.

During the checks, a total of 124 people were identified, 41 of whom were already known to law enforcement through criminal records. Traffic was also under scrutiny: 81 vehicles were checked, resulting in the administrative seizure of four vehicles and the impoundment of another.

The operators reported 17 violations of the Highway Code, including lack of insurance coverage, failure to have a periodic inspection, lack of registration documents, driving without a license, and cases of reckless driving. Four registration certificates were also confiscated.

The operation also targeted the commercial sector and compliance with judicial measures: two businesses and six individuals subject to restrictive measures or alternatives to detention were checked. The operation is part of a broader prevention effort aimed at ensuring legality and security in the area.
