Arzano– An afternoon of fear and tension in the heart of Arzano, where a sudden structural emergency triggered the forced evacuation of an entire block. Operations, concentrated in the area between Via Verdi and the corner of Via Pascoli, are ongoing, with firefighters, law enforcement officers, and municipal technicians on the front lines.

The emergency response was triggered by a resident's report. Worried about the inability to open the windows of his apartment, he sensed the danger of a structural movement in the building.

A seemingly minor detail, however, revealed a much more serious reality: the initial surveys carried out by the Fire Brigade revealed extensive cracking and worrying subsidence in the foundations of the buildings.

The numbers of the emergency

As a precaution, authorities ordered the immediate evacuation of a complex comprising 35 residential units and several commercial premises. Municipal and State Police are heavily present on site, committed not only to ensuring the safety of the area but also to coordinating the census and evacuation of the affected families.

Assistance to citizens

The Arzano municipal administration immediately activated the emergency protocol to provide logistical support. While many residents have found accommodations with relatives, the Municipality is taking charge of finding temporary housing for all those who do not have independent alternatives.

The area is currently cordoned off pending further technical inspections to determine the extent of the damage and the future usability of the buildings.
